The plant Boswellia serrata is known as “Shallaki” and has been used since ancient times for its anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Boswellia serrata contains triterpenoids, named boswellic acids, potent inhibitors of 5 -lipoxygenase. This enzyme initiates the route of inflammatory and allergic processes.
Ceramides influence skin water retention. A loss of ceramide levels can lead to dry skin. Use of ceramides can help alleviate this condition by replacing the normal barrier function of the skin. Ceramides can stimulate basal layer cell proliferation.
Cow’s milk is a food rich in proteins, especially casein and whey proteins. These proteins are beneficial for the skin: They have cleanser and tonic effects. Also nutritional and moisturizing properties because they are rich in lactose and amino acids. Other properties: moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, antioxidant and antimicrobial.
